Bird Week 2025

A Student Awareness Lecture on “Bird Diversity: Fact, Wonder and Identification” was organized to enhance understanding of avian diversity and scientific identification.

The programme was graced by Dr. L. P. Nagpurkar, Prof. Nishikant Shiwankar, Mrs. Aayesha Lambat, and Mr. Vikas Bawankule, and presided over by Dr. Lokanda Navkhare.

A birdwatching trail at Chorkhamara Lake introduced students to nearly 30 species of aquatic and terrestrial birds, promoting awareness of wetland ecosystems and conservation importance.

Recent Activities

Global Wetland Day 2026

In collaboration with NNTR and ERWICA Foundation, a field interaction session was organized for students of Navjeevan Jr. College, Sakoli at Bodara Lake.

The program promoted awareness about wetland conservation and biodiversity with active participation of local villagers, fishermen, community members, and the village Sarpanch — encouraging community-based environmental stewardship.

The session was guided by Dr. L. P. Nagpurkar, Director, ERWICA Foundation.

A felicitation ceremony was conducted for winners of the T-shirt Painting and Reel Making competitions, in the presence of Shri Milind Landge, Dr. Lokanada Navkhare, and Mr. Vikas Bawankule.
